An Odyssey for Maddie at Churchill

As predicted, Becky's Kitten (Kitten's Joy) was scratched from his race at Churchill Downs. The winner was his stablemate, Honor in Peace, who took the lead soon after the start and coasted home. Marathon Moon, who was trying to run off before they loaded, took second, and Doc Thunderbolt was third. Watch the Replay.

Maraschino Red and Dark Starlet are Deceived by a Lady

They broke pretty much in a bunch, except for Maraschino Red (Medaglia d'Oro), who stumbled badly. Yes She's a Lady came through on the rail to grab the lead. Holdontoyourdream, Dark Starlet (Speightstown) and Olde Glamour were in close pursuit. Just off of these was Maraschino Red, having recovered from her stumble. As they entered the turn, Yes She's a Lady began to open up, and she continued to increase her lead throughout the stretch. The official margin was 10. Just a couple of lengths separated the rest of the field from each other. Maraschino Red and Dark Starlet ended up 5th and 6th. Watch the Replay.
