The Cat Robs Sweet Kitten

Gabriela Lady and Robbery Cat broke quickest, while Luca's Wife was squeezed at the start and trailed. Gabriela Lady and Robbery Cat were soon joined by Bethia on the rail. Sweet Kitten (Kitten's Joy) was watching this action back in fourth. Robbery Cat emerged with a clear lead on the turn, as Sweet Kitten began moving. Sweet Kitten made a run at Robbery Cat, but couldn't catch her, settling for second. Remember this was an Allowance race, and the second victory for Robbery Cat. Sweet Kitten defeated all the other maidens. View the replay here.

The Man beats Becky's Kitten Soundly

Gentleman John was a bit rambunctious in the paddock, and when they came out for the post parade. Both Becky's Kitten (Kitten's Joy), who was a little heated, and Congar broke away from the field in the post parade. The favorite, Soundman, was soaked in sweat. For a field with a bunch of 2-year old debuters, everyone loaded well. Soundman took the lead soon after the break, while Becky's Kitten started slowly. Gary D was chasing Soundman early, but Soundman began to draw clear. Becky's Kitten and Congar both moved well late, but Soundman was far in front. He ended up winning by better than 7. Congar took 2nd in a photo over Becky's Kitten. An impressive win for Soundman, but a nice debut for Becky's Kitten, considering the slow start. William's Kitten (Kitten's Joy), who was an entry with Becky's Kitten, was scratched. Watch the Replay.
