Tannic (gelding; Saarland - Poetic Image by Perrault (GB)) got his maiden victory, winning by better than 10 at Prairie Meadows.

Peace Rumor (gelding; Peace Rules - Seattle Cyrina by Bold Ruckus) was a winner too, taking a Maiden Claiming contest at Louisiana Downs by better than 3.

Jersey Town (colt; Speightstown - Jersey Girl by Belong to Me) wasn't far off the pacesetters in his Allowance race at Monmouth, came running in the stretch, but drifted out badly and finished 2nd. Not sure he would have caught the winner anyway, but the drifting didn't help. Watch the Replay.

Hoopoe (colt; Birdstone - Allou by Seattle Slew) was in a good spot early in his Maiden Special Weight at Belmont, made up some ground on the outside, but flattened out late and finished 5th. Colors Flying, first foal of Storm Flag Flying, was ignored at the windows (26-1), but made a good run in the stretch, finishing 3rd. Watch the Replay.

Perfect Edge (gelding; Pleasantly Perfect - Winner's Edge by Seeking the Gold) had no speed early in his mile turf Allowance at Pimlico. He came running wide, but weakened and finished 6th. Watch the Replay.

La Equivocada (filly; Smarty Jones - Dragonada by Nureyev) set the pace in her Allowance race at La Equivocada, but was swallowed up by practically the whole field late. She finished 6th by my reckoning. You can watch the replay here (she is the number 5 in the 5th race on May 23). If you watch the replay, note that the early camera work focuses on the horses chasing and doesn't even show La Equivocada on the lead.

C O Peace (filly; Peace Rules - Carson's Cat by Mountain Cat) picked up a DNF at the Lincoln State Fair in her Maiden Special Weight debut, when she ducked into the gap and unseated her rider. She was the favorite in the race, so hopefully she will return.
