Battle Royal
(Saint Liam) was scratched at Woodbine, the winner of that one was Fearless Cowboy. Dant was second, and Uaintseenalligot was third after setting the pace.

In other first-crop sire news, Kela picked up his first winner on May 24 when the filly Our Tekela Rose went gate-to-wire at Arlington Park, winning the 4.5 furlong contest by a length over favorite Singandprayfurrhen.

Overrall, the last few days have been good for first-year stallions. On May 21, Limehouse had his first winner with Lover's House (filly) at Hollywood Park. Next on May 22, Fantasticat's first winner, the filly Fantasyland, was victorious at Pimlico. Then on May 23, both Midas Eyes and Dance With Ravens recorded their first wins as stallions. The filly Deposit Record (Midas Eyes) won at Delaware Park, and the colt Old Line State (Dance With Ravens) won at Penn National.

May 24 Results

Esperanza d'Oro (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Seasonal by Deputy Minister) was a big favorite in her Allowance race at Monmouth, and didn't disappoint, battling for the lead early and then drawing off. Watch the Replay.

The Gang of Four (colt; Medaglia d'Oro - One Tough Cat by Mountain Cat) stalked early, and then took command to pick up his maiden win in his first race at three at Churchill Downs. Watch the Replay.

Arabian Peace (gelding; Peace Rules - Memory Rock by Sheikh Albadou (GB)) had no early speed in his Allowance race at Presque Isle Downs, but got in gear late, just missing in a photo, finishing 2nd.

Collegiate (filly; Saarland - La Sorbonne (ARG) by Southern Halo) sprinted to the lead in her 2009 debut, but tired late finishing 2nd in her Allowance race at Belmont. Watch the Replay.

Party Hard (colt; Medaglia d'Oro - Keys to the Heart by Wild Again) hit the front in the stretch, but couldn't hold off closer Indy Ride at Hollywood. Watch the Replay. (Is it asking too much for Party Hard and Free Beer to both appear in the same race? They are both 3-year old maiden males that run in California.).

Gold d'Oro (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Gold Canyon by Mr. Prospector) was the favorite in her Maiden Special Weight on the turf, but she just couldn't quite catch the pacesetter, losing by a nose. Her pursuit of the frontrunner was somewhat hampered by bumping into Danceyoursocksoff (filly; Pleasantly Perfect - Come Dancing by Two Punch), who was closing as well and picked up third. Life's Precious (filly; Pleasantly Perfect - Precious Clare by Red Ransom) checked at the start and didn't run much afterwards, finishing last. Watch the Replay.

General Gabe (gelding; Congaree - Blazing Hot by Irish River (FR)) stalked the early pace in his Maiden Special Weight at Northlands and then hit the front, dueling with favorite Wired Two Twenty. Wired Two Twenty got the win, but General Gabe had a good debut finishing second.

Our Golden Dream (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Adorahy by Rahy) and Exclusive Scheme (filly; Saarland - Pyramid Scheme by Distant View) finished together in their Allowance race at Belmont, 6th and 7th. Our Golden Dream seemed flat, not her usual self. Exclusive Scheme found trouble at several points in the race and had to steady hard in the stretch. Watch the Replay.

Silent Salute (colt; Saarland - Sweet Surrender by Synastry) was in mid-pack early and didn't have much punch late, finishing 7th on the turf at Golden Gate. Watch the Replay.

Prime Time (colt; Medaglia d'Oro - Sioux City by Carson City) settled at the back of the pack in his Maiden Special Weight at Woodbine and made up a couple spots late to finish 9th.

Min d'Oro (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Min Elreeh by Danzig) did not get in off the AE list at Calder.
