A Winning Odyssey

Tribecky
(Saint Liam) was a scratch, so we ended up with Maddie's Odyssey (Kitten's Joy) and Draw a Blank (Saint Liam) in the field of eight (Stay Here was also scratched). Favoritism went to Quiet Girl, but Maddie's Odyssey also took a fair amount of money. The fillies were pretty well behaved, especially for mostly first-timers. Maddie's Odyssey loaded like the pro she is. Draw a Blank was upset in the gate and broke outward. But despite this, she soon joined Golden Guilder, fighting for the lead. Watching this activity was Maddie's Odyssey back in third. She started moving on the turn, caught the leaders, and then zoomed on by. Draw a Blank tired, but held third. Maddie's Odyssey (Kitten's Joy - Personal Odyssey by Lemon Drop Kid) is a chestnut, bred in Kentucky by Ken and Sarah Ramsey. Her owner is R. S. R. Racing Stable LLC, and she is trained by Bruce Wilcox. Jockey Mike Allen brought her home a winner. Watch the Replay.

Leaving them Dreaming

This one was all about Dreaming Prayers (Songandaprayer - Annika Rules by Seeking the Gold) . She went off as the heavy favorite, leapt out of the gate ahead of the rest of the field, and increased her advantage throughout. The final margin was 9. Miss Muffin did well to get second, as she was agitated in the paddock and during the post parade, and started slowly. Traditionalism also recovered from a poor start to just take third over Gray Flash (Afleet Alex). Gray Flash was off ok, but tired late. Also her jockey lost the whip, which may have cost her third. Watch the Replay.
