Kaffie's Doll Runs Away from Ciminella

Olive Eye (Maria's Mon - Rapidamente by Dixieland Band) and Economic Tsunami (Fappie's Notebook - Nature Coast by Conveyor) were scratched. Grand Decision (Pulpit - Grands Jetes by Nureyev) was favored, but the entry of Ciminella (Afleet Alex - Bruanna by Housebuster) and Red Zinn (Broken Vow - Ride Her Out by Stormy Atlantic) also received plenty of attention at the windows. Grand Decision was on her toes, showing a little too much activity for my taste. Mywifenosevrything (Najran - Rose Jade by Jade Hunter) looked aggravated in the paddock, while Lucy N Thunder (Lightnin N Thunder - L. D. Operator by Caller I. D.) was bucking and kicking as she moved on to the track. Kaffie's Doll (Kafwain - Dotsie's Doll by Allen's Prospect) broke on top, and Ciminella stumbled, leaving her at the back. Up front, Kaffie's Doll built up a 6 length lead. She maintained her advantage, despite drifting out. Ciminella got in gear after her slow start, and just nipped Lucy N Thunder for second. Pulling a Con Over Playful Pussycat

Playful Pussycat (Kitten's Joy - Feisty Ferdinand by Ferdinand) took all the early money, but Zorayda Castle (Kafwain - Castle Mey by With Approval) was favored when the gates opened. Small Talk (Toccet - Just for the Money by Mystery Storm) looked ready for action, while Right Reward (Grand Reward - So Right by Affirmed) was on her toes. Playful Pussycat was a little fidgety and looked anxious. The break was fairly good for all, except Sorocaba (Stormy Atlantic - Sayabec by Foxhound), who broke outward. Wellies (Storm Boot - Seattle Paige by Seattle Song) held a brief lead, but she was soon passed by Zorayda Castle. Playful Pussycat was at the back. Zorayda Castle moved to a clear lead in the stretch, but Conjob (Burning Roma - Wild Bubbles by Wild Event) was moving from off the pace. She came 6-wide and swept by the leaders for the win. Small Talk also made up ground late to take third. Playful Pussycat finished 7th, it looked as though she didn't figure out what to do until late into the race.
