Dynazaper (Ghostzapper - Broad Dynamite by Broad Brush) was scratched from 6th at Saratoga. Awesome Maria (Maria's Mon - Discreetly Awesome by Awesome Again) went off at less than even money, and did not dissappoint. She stalked the early pace set by Couture Cat (Storm Cat - Runway Model by Petionville) and then drew off to win by better than 8. Watch the Replay.

Marathon Moon Holds off Best Actor

Key Largo (Fusaichi Pegasus - Mary by Cat Thief), entrymate of Best Actor (Rock Hard Ten - Dance for Dixie by Unaccounted For), was scratched. Best Actor went off as the favorite, at less than even money. He looked good in the paddock. Marathon Moon (Malibu Moon - Showcase by Storm Cat), the four race veteran, looked ready, like he knew what was going on. Best Actor was fussing in the gate right before they opened, and this may have affected his start, as he was at the back early. Breaking on top was Marathon Moon. Dubai Victory (Essence of Dubai - Herecomesacat by Storm Creek) was chasing the leader, with Oro Verdadero (Yes It's True - Gold and Lively by Deputy Minister) the closest of the rest. They maintained these positions until the stretch. At that point, Best Actor began moving. He was really eating up ground late, but came up a head short to Marathon Moon. Watch the Replay.

Finally Ghostzapper got his first winner even if it was a tie. Nice way for

Golden Ghost to break his maiden - in a stakes race.

Yes well done Golden Ghost but as a big fan of Mineshaft and Discreet Cat it was Discreetly Mine who was my favourite 2 Y O winner yesterday.  Cheered him home whilst watching ATR! (Attheraces!)

Am also enjoying seeing the "Pleaantly Perfects" beginning to hit a seam of winning form!

And Medaglio D'Oro continuing to do well along with Afleet Alex and Smarty!

Obviously all my Seattle Slew dynasty get cheered and they are doing brilliantly.  Por Proud Accolade will be a great loss! As Vindication is.  He has been unlucky in that his best are proving dfficult to keep sound due to various factors!  None of which I blame Vindi for!  I never blame the horses!!!!!!!

Many thanks for all the research and your hard work.  Fascinating as ever!

God Bless

best wishes as ever

Abbie

MODERN COWBOY, by TIZNOW, just broke his maiden at Delaware Park on the dirt. Nice win. He's a full brother to TIS A MAN, a colt that started his career in promising fashion. I have no idea what happened to that horse, though.

TIZNOW has two other 2 year olds, both fillies, that won in impressive fashion recently, TIZ MIZ SUE and IT TIZ. I think both of them look very promising.
