This Account is Golden

Archive (Indian Charlie - Special Broad by Broad Brush) and Luckofthebuck (Touch Gold - Dust Bucket by Spend a Buck) were scratched. Favoritism bounced around among a few, with Baileys Beach (Out of Place - Mexicali Rose by El Gran Senor) getting the nod at post time. The entry of Bishop's Head (Saint Liam - Blue Sky Princess by Conquistador Cielo) and Itineris (Afleet Alex - Kafaf by Zilzal) went off at 2-1. Golden Account (Menifee - In the Till by Mr. Prospector) went to the lead. Bishop's Head broke in the air, but was rushed up to press the leader. He was pretty rank up there and soon ran out of steam, finishing 7th (last). Golden Account continued to lead the way. Baileys Beach and Itineris both make a run at him, but there was no catching Golden Account. Itineris flattened out late, but still finished third. Itineris has now finished 2nd twice and 3rd once in 5 starts. Watch the Replay.

Sister is No Friend to the Baby

Favoritism waffled between Itsallaboutmenow (Sligo Bay (IRE) - Wildaboutyouagain by Risen Star) and Imanuptowngirl (North Light (IRE) - Cherry Flambe by Explosive Red), finally settling on the latter filly. New Year's Baby (Afleet Alex - You Again by Wild Again) was 9-1. Jeppino (Fusaichi Pegasus - Raylene by Tabasco Cat) was on the muscle, Monetary Motion (Petionville - Connie Bar by Conquistador Cielo) was showing some pep. Jeppino was without her rider in the post parade. Soon, she was announced as a late scratch. Imanuptowngirl went for the early lead. Elegant Beauty (Leroidesanimaux (BRZ) - Subtle Elegance by Quiet American) was with her for a time, but then backed off. Then, Rushsweetcharlotte (Bwana Charlie - Platinum Hawk by Silver Ghost) took up the chase. New Year's Baby was in a good spot at this point, but she began to lose ground and ended up 8th (last). Meanwhile, Sister Friend (Mineshaft - My Pal Lana by Kris S.), who was at the back early, began rolling. She passed everyone to get the victory. Watch Replay
