Breeders' Cup News

Kera's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Mrs. K. by Dixieland Band) and Becky's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Caterette by Cozzene) will break side-by-side in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, in posts 9 and 10. They are both 12-1. Rajiv Maragh rides Kera's Kitten and Julien Leparoux is up on Becky's Kitten. One wonders if Julien Leparoux had his choice of Kittens, since he has ridden both of them. Dean's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Summer Theatre by Ide) is first on the AE list for this race. If he runs, his rider will be Ramon Dominguez. William's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Blush by Menifee) drew post 12 for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. He is 30-1 on the morning line and Ramon Dominguez is up. Lisa's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Chianti Red by Woodman) also breaks from post 12, in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. She is 12-1 on the morning line, with Julien Leparoux aboard.

A Dream Run

Liam's Dream (Saint Liam - Danzig's Dreamer by Rubiano) was favored at 3-2. Also getting attention from the bettors was Big Time Bling (Touch Gold - Blonde Tornado by Golden Missile). She set the early pace, pressed by Maura (Dehere - Subtle Fragrance by Crafty Prospector) early. Liam's Dream made her move on the inside. She pulled ahead of Big Time Bling and then took off, winning by better than 3. Grand Glory (Distorted Humor - Royally Chosen by In Excess (IRE)) came on the outside to pick up second. A Rocky Start

This one was over before it really began for Roll 'n Rock (colt; Rock Hard Ten - Lady Stack by Stack). He wheeled coming out of the gate, dropped his rider and took off through the gap. His jockey sat up immediately and rode later in the night. Roll 'n Rock may need some gate work. In his defense, he was breaking from the rail and that gap does look attractive. There was a pretty good contest for those left in the race. Value Your Angel (Value Plus - Our Guardian Angel by Exploit) and Beyond Parallel (Montbrook - Velvet Choaker by On to Glory) battled early. Value Your Angel began to tire in the stretch, as Euro Ghost (Eurosilver - Ghost of Love by Silver Ghost) went by them both. However, he could not hold off Hobo Ridge (Tiger Ridge - Allen's Ms by Allen's Prospect), who was never far off the pace, and just got up late for the win. Watch the Replay.
