Apparently, I haven't been getting any Kitten's Joy's workouts for the past couple weeks. I have been getting entries, but not works. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Slewzoom Outfinishes Sheltowee

Sheltowee (Saint Liam - Crafty Oak by Crafty Prospector) was favored at Post Time, but Slewzoom (Slew City Slew - Just Zooming by Schembechler) was not far behind in the wagering. Longest Shot (Barkerville - Bluestem Meadow by Meadowlake) looked good in the warm-up, but so did Sheltowee. Slewzoom went right to the lead, with Euromillion (Eurosilver - Vermilion Sea by Boundary) his closest pursuer. Sheltowee was at the back. The fractions were pretty slow, :24.74 and :50.09. Sheltowee began moving 5-wide, but there were a lot of horses to pass. He went by most of them, but couldn't quite pass pacesetter Slewzoom, settling for second once again. I cannot fault the effort of Sheltowee in this one, he was compromised by the slow pace and still almost got there. Watch the Replay.

Inthethickofit Gets the Point

Inthethickofit (Yes It's True - Chirimoya by Cobra King) was the heavy favored, 1-9 at the first click of the tote. Seeking the Point (Saint Liam - So Foolish by Seeking the Gold) was 6-1. He was showing some pep in the paddock. There was a bit of a delay going to the track due to a late rider change for Bonus Coverage (Dance Master - Saint Saras Tune by Tunerup). The horses appeared to stay calm while circling the paddock. Orientation (Orientate - Symphonic by Songandaprayer) looked a little unsure when they headed to the track. One Nice Copy Cat (One Nice Cat - Chubby Bubby by Harry the Hat) loaded riderless. The start was pretty fair and there was a scramble for the lead. Flamin' Hot (Flame Thrower - Domestic Dispersal by Scatmandu) got to the front, with Orientation and Seeking the Point close up. In the stretch, Bonus Coverage moved into contention. Waiting patiently, however, was the favorite Inthethickofit. He found some room, pushed by Bonus Coverage, and got by Flamin' Hot for the win. Seeking the Point tired to 5th. Watch the Replay.

A Victory for the Camp

There were no scratches, and the turf was firm. Oceanographer (Stormy Atlantic - Miss Lucy by Woodman) was the heavy favorite, but Do What U Dare (Kitten's Joy - Steaming Home by Salt Lake) took some money as well, going off at 5-2. He's another chestnut Kitten's Joy with a big blaze. King Edward (Singspiel (IRE) - Baize (GB) by Efisio (GB)), the full brother to grade I winner Singhalese, looked good. Longshot Smokin Bomb (Golden Missile - Standswithafist by Gold Case) was frisky in the paddock. Camp Victory (Forest Camp - Victory Trick by Clever Trick) was coming into the race off of the ultimate equipment change, gelded since last start. He had some spring in his step as they moved onto the track. Smokin Bomb and Oceanographer went after the early lead. Camp Victory joined in this early battle, and it was he that took the lead. Do What U Dare was near the back. Camp Victory began moving away from Oceanographer in the stretch, as the favorite tired. Mister Do It (Songandaprayer - Inviting by Exploit), Nostalgic Bid (Vindication - Dossier by Storm Cat), and King Edward were all closing, but they couldn't catch Camp Victory. One to watch on the stretch-out is King Edward, who was really gobbling up the ground late. Do What U Dare didn't run much at all and finished 8th. Watch the Replay.
