Take Control (A. P. Indy - Azeri by Jade Hunter), the first offspring of Horse of the Year Azeri, made his first start a winning one, with a length and a half victory at Santa Anita. Papaw Broughton (colt; Saint Liam - Princess Pegasus by Fusaichi Pegasus) was part of the pace, but faded to 7th, and Valentinus (colt; Afleet Alex - Cozzy Love by Cozzene) was off slow and finished 11th (last) in their 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight at Hawthorne. Watch the Replay.
Afleet Jane (filly; Afleet Alex - North Lake Jane by Meadowlake), Mets Magic (filly; Saint Liam - Mescalina by Smarten), and Recession Proof (filly; Afleet Alex - Pert Lady by Cox's Ridge) stayed in the barn, when racing was canceled at Charles Town.

It's the Big Cat (Kitten's Joy - Sweeping Cat by End Sweep) breaks from the rail in this 6 furlong race at Aqueduct for New York-breds. It will be his 4th start. He finished 6th in his debut, on the turf at Saratoga on August 6. He then ran in 2 Aqueduct races, finishing 2nd at a mile on November 25, and 9th at a mile and 70 yards on December 12. Previously, he was 4th both on November 7 at Aqueduct, and on October 15 at Belmont. He sold for $2,200 as a yearling, but for $24,000 as a 2-year old, and is a half-brother to 2 winners. His dam, Six Tales, is a half-sister to 7 winners, including stakes winner New Capricorn and Lady Six, a group III winner in Brazil.
Digital Joe (City Zip - You're the Top by Affirmed) was third in his only start, on October 15 at Belmont, in front of L L Flying Notes. He is a half-brother to the winner Sonny and Louie. You're the Top, dam of Digital Joe, is a half-sister to 4 winners, including stakes winner Haitian Vacation.
Dixie Nite Out (Dixie Union - Ladies Night In by Peteski), Mine Over Matter (Mineshaft - Hansel's Girl by Hansel), Major Star (Aldebaran - Attagal by Atticus), and Le Bonne Vie (Spanish Steps - Premier Account by Mt. Livermore) finished 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 9th at 6 furlongs on a sloppy Aqueduct track on December 5. Dixie Nite Out is out of stakes-placed Ladies Night In, who earned $123,750.
