A Kitten is Crowned

AE Magic Lion (Lion Heart - Magic Melody by Gulch) was scratched. King Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Santo Mio by Southern Halo) was favored, but Cuvee's Caress (Cuvee - Openingcaress by Opening Verse) was well-respected at the windows as well. Turnaround (Stone Bridge - Heckofagal by Country Pine) took the early lead, pursued by Double the Money (Limehouse - Proud Run by Proud Truth) and Asset (Kafwain - Poltapenny by Wagon Limit). Kitten Kitten was reserved early. Asset took over the lead in the stretch, but he couldn't hold off a closing King Kitten, who made a 5-wide move and rolled to the lead. He ended up winning by better than 2. Cuvee's Caress was late on the scene to pick up second. King Kitten was claimed out of the race. Watch the Replay.
