Lentenor Rocks America

The turf was firm and only the AEs were out. Lentenor (Dynaformer - La Ville Rouge by Carson City) was favored, Rock America (Rock Hard Ten - Girl Scout by Meadowlake) was 10-1. I thought Quando Quando (El Prado (IRE) - Valid Victress by Valid Appeal) looked good. Lentenor was on his toes and ready for action. Rock America warmed up nicely. He was a little reluctant to load. Longshot Dixie Summer's (Grand Reward - Vopo by Theatrical (IRE)) established a clear lead early. Lentenor was the nearest pursuer. Also up close were One Sky (Orientate - Southern Letters by Capote), Rascallion (Hold That Tiger - Zuppa by Woodman), and Parthian (Giant's Causeway - Inny River by Seattle Slew). Rock America was 7th early. In the stretch, Lentenor assumed command, as Dixie Summer's faded, but Rock America was coming too. Lentenor drew off, as Rock America weakened. It was quite a battle for second, with 92-1 Person of Interest (Tapit - Oriole Way by Cahill Road) taking it by a nose over Bigshot (Limehouse - Regal Snicker by Regal Classic). Rock America ended up 5th. It was a nice victory for Lentenor, but also a very good debut for Rock America, he just got a little tired. He'll be stronger next time. Watch the Replay.
