Outlaw Man Saw Perfection

The turf was firm, MTO Ready for Change (A. P. Indy - Ajina by Strawberry Road (AUS)) was the only scratch. Hockley (A. P. Indy - Penny's Fortune by Storm Cat) was favored, Saintly Seoul (Saint Liam - Seoul by Deputy Minister) was 16-1. Body Builder (Horse Chestnut (SAF) - Work Out Queen by Fit to Fight) looked good in the walking ring. Seize Power (Mizzen Mast - Palisade by Gone West) made a favorable impression on the track, but he was off slowly. Saw Perfection (Pleasantly Perfect - Saw Her Shadow by Wild Again) set the pace, followed by King of Kendall (Smart Strike - Lan Kwai Fong (AUS) by Bluebird). Saintly Seoul secured a rail spot, in 3rd or 4th. Outlaw Man (Forest Wildcat - Pier Sixty Six by Cozzene) started to move, as Saintly Seoul began to weaken. Outlaw Man moved even with Saw Perfection, but Saw Perfection fought back. Just a nose separated these two at the wire, with Outlaw Man getting his in front. Favorite Hockley was another head back in third. Saintly Seoul ended up 7th. Watch the Replay.

It's a Mutiny

Only the AEs and the MTO were scratched, the turf was firm. Remittance (Unforgettable Max - Wife's Objection by Slewpy) was the even-money choice, Quechee (Afleet Alex - Tarika by Cozzene) was 15-1 and Charlie's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Allthewaybaby by Grand Slam) was 7-1. Quechee looked good, Charlie's Kitten looked a bit anxious. El Kingdom (El Prado (IRE) - Rabiadella by Dynaformer) was sent back to the paddock for a jockey chance. They couldn't find a jockey, so he was scratched. Mutiny (Military - Stormy Blast by Kayrawan) got a little hot during the delay. Quechee acted up a bit at the load, and then Charlie's Kitten fretted in the gate. He was backed out and scratched by the vet. They sent the rest off without fixing the gate numbers. Mutiny and Ready to Dazzle (More Than Ready - Eye Dazzler by Boundary) went for the lead, Mutiny got it. Quechee was off slowly. Ready to Dazzle pressed the pace, with Plead (Langfuhr - High Court (BRZ) by Blush Rambler) close behind. They remained in this order into the stretch, when Ready to Dazzle tired. Mutiny held them all at bay, winning by 1 3/4 lengths. Favorite Remittance got up for third, after steadying several times. Quechee didn't make up much ground after his slow start, finishing 8th. Watch for Afleet Express Saturday at Gulfstream! Not to mention A Student at Oaklawn. A comment to Wayne Lukas- get some sleep Dublin will do the rest! I think all the Afleet Alex fans should get their Derby hats out. Can't wait to see Afleet of Angels fly across the finish line someday soon.

Go Afleet Alex's kids!

One more thing....I'd like to congratulate Jeremy Rose on his 2000 win. I'll never forget as he and Afleet Alex rounded the turn at Belmont with the kids cheering in the stands.
