Dublin (colt; Afleet Alex - Classy Mirage by Storm Bird) got off to a slow start, but made a good run late. However, he couldn't catch pacesetter Conveyance and had to settle for second. Still, he was a nice 3-year old debut, and he should move forward. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Southwest Stakes here.

Buddy's Saint (colt; Saint Liam - Tuzia by Blushing John) was off a step slow in the Fountain of Youth, and then got into a world of trouble in traffic. He ended up finishing 9th. Eskendereya (Giant's Causeway - Aldebaran Light by Seattle Slew) took the race, drawing off to a convincing 8.5 length win. Many will dismiss Buddy's Saint after this, but I'll give him another chance. He really had no shot after the traffic problems. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Fountain of Youth here.

Mountain Justice (colt; Afleet Alex - Just Fun by Dehere) wasn't much of a factor in the Risen Star Stakes, finishing 9th. Maybe, he should return to the turf. The winner Discreetly Mine (Mineshaft - Pretty Discreet by Private Account), who went right to the front. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Risen Star here.

Lisa's Kitten (filly; Kitten's Joy - Chianti Red by Woodman) steadied in the first turn of the Valdale Stakes at Turfway Park, and ended up 10th (last). The winner was Helen Belen (Five Star Day - Waterford Express by Cherokee Run), by an impressive 14 3/4 lengths. Watch the Replay.

Ghost Girl (filly; Ghostzapper - Bayou Breeze by A. P. Indy) was scratched from the China Doll Stakes. The winner was City to City (City Zip - Stormbow by Storm Cat). Watch the Replay.

MTO Marching Tune (Malibu Moon - Itama by Tabasco Cat) was the only scratch, and the turf was firm. Rock America (Rock Hard Ten - Girl Scout by Meadowlake) took the early money, but Bigshot (Limehouse - Regal Snicker by Regal Classic) was favored at post time. Westshore (Saint Liam - Alexi Dancer by A. P. Indy) was 20-1. First-timer Kindergarden Kid (Dynaformer - Amelia by Dixieland Band) made a good impression, Let's Do It (El Prado (IRE) - Nephele by Deputy Commander) was full of himself, and Bigshot was on his toes. Westshore was off well, but General Song (Elusive Quality - Tomorrow's Song by Apalachee) took the early lead, pursued by Michael Rules (Peace Rules - Gal From Ipanima by Bahri). Westshore had a rail spot in third or fourth. In the stretch, Rock America made a move between horses, and Bigshot was coming too. Still hanging around was Westshore. These three hit the wire together. It was Westshore by a head over Bigshot, who was a nose better than Rock America. Kindergarden Kid ran on late for fourth. Watch the Replay.

An Endorsement Over New Madrid

Endorsement (Distorted Humor - Charmed Gift by A. P. Indy) was favored, New Madrid (Rock Hard Ten - Back to Earth by Theatrical (IRE)) was a cool 24-1. Saratoga Yankee (Yankee Gentleman - Sister Jones by Saratoga Six) looked good in the post parade. New Madrid looks like his daddy. Honour Rocket (Chapel Royal - Honour Marianne by Honour and Glory) was a tad agitated. New Madrid was off well, in third early. Battling for the lead were Endorsement and Delong Road (Storm Cat - Tates Creek by Rahy). Endorsement shook free from Delong Road, but New Madrid and Tiz Dangerous (Tiznow - Alpine Ice by Forestry) ran on. New Madrid made a try at Endorsement, but he couldn't close much of the gap. I've Got the Fever Burns Comical

Winaholic (Tiznow - Bridal Memories by Unbridled) was scratched. Comical (Ghoszapper - Abby Girl by Meadowlake) was the heavy favorite, based on his second to Tempted to Tapit last time out. I've Got the Fever (Stephen Got Even - Music Fever by Gold Fever) looked good in the paddock. Comical was off well and went for the early lead, but he was beaten to the punch by I've Got the Fever. Lloydobler (Smarty Jones - I Aim High by I Enclose) was near the pace as well. I've Got the Fever shook free in the stretch. Comical tried to make a run, but he couldn't make up much ground and settled for second again. Watch the Replay.

A Fury Over Cravin Caden and Gaucho

The AEs were the only scratches. Cravin Caden (Saint Liam - Lacie Girl by Editor's Note) was favored at 5-2. Gaucho (Ghostzapper - Fashion Cat by Forest Wildcat) was 18-1. Political Agenda (Langfuhr - Provincial by Pulpit) looked good as they headed to the track. Cravin Caden was acting up a bit. Unbridled Fury (Broken Vow - Val Marie by Coronado's Quest) got a nice warm-up. Scary Good (Vindication - Rose Frances by Crafty Prospector) went to the front, with Storm On the Moon (Stormy Atlantic - Cajun Moon by Conquistador Cielo) and Gaucho close. Storm On the Moon continued to pursue Scary Good, and finally got his head in front in the stretch. But, his lead didn't last long as the closers were coming. Unbridled Fury was finishing best and got the win. Longshot Christopher'simage (Halo's Image - Glass Slipper by Katowice) took second, and Cravin Caden won third in a photo. Gaucho retreated after his brief speed, finishing 11th. Watch the Replay.

Noah's Humor (Distorted Humor - Etats Unis by Dixieland Band) was scratched, along with the AEs. The track was fast. In Jack's Memory (Malibu Moon - Inclination by Victory Gallop) was favored. Gaelic Will (Saint Liam - Golf Girl by Kingmambo) was 24-1. I liked the look of Crafty Cal (Crafty Shaw - Fabulous Quest by Quest for Fame (GB)) and Bleak Outlook (Cuvee - Tempo Di Bolero by Sultry Song). Gaelic Will was acting up in the paddock, and during the load. Oceanographer (Stormy Atlantic - Miss Lucy by Woodman) broke on top, with Bleak Outlook, Z Winner (Medallist - Darnestown by Williamstown), and In Jack's Memory sticking close. In Jack's Memory made a move and hit the front. He seemed home free, but began to tire late. It seemed as though most of the field was closing. Z Winner got the victory over a fast-closing Crafty Cal. In Jack's Memory held third. Gaelic Will made up some ground late to finish 5th. Watch the Replay.

Face and an Ace is Rock Solid

The downhill turf was firm. There were no scratches. Fyvio (Five Star Day - Why Walk by Zilzal) was favored. Rock Solid King (Rock Hard Ten - Julie's Angel by Theatrical (IRE)) was 7-1. Rock Solid King hesitated at the start, and spotted the field several lengths. Fyvio took a break lead, but was soon overtaken by Face and an Ace (Came Home - Snowberg by Seattle Sleet). With him was Fandino (Langfuhr - Alcea by Honour and Glory). These two separated from the rest of the field, and dueled for much of the race. Fandino kept coming, but he couldn't get to Face and an Ace, who won by a neck. Rock Solid King beat three home, which was an accomplishment considering his start. Watch the Replay.
