Skypo Splashes by Baby Afleet

So much for a meeting on the green, instead the race was off the turf, and run on a sloppy main track. Quechee (Afleet Alex - Tarika by Cozzene) was scratched, joining much of the rest of the field. Baby Afleet (Afleet Alex - Dancen in the Sun by Regal Classic) gave it a go, as well as Come Undone (Catienus - Thunderously by Wild Again), Skypo (Sky Mesa - Post Haste by Mr. Greeley), King Prada (El Prado (IRE) - King's Interest by Kingmambo), Tiz Mine (Tiznow - Our Majestic Cat by Tabasco Cat), and Toro Santo (Holy Bull - Dynamic Reaction by Dynaformer). MTO Tiz Mine was the even-money choice, and he made a favorable impression in the paddock. Baby Afleet was 13-1. Come Undone looked good on the track. Baby Afleet was reluctant to load, but he got off to a good start. Come Undone came up the rail to set the early pace, but King Prada, Baby Afleet, and Tiz Mine were all up close. Tiz Mine made the first move on the outside. Come Undone hung tough for a time, but Tiz Mine finally put him away. However, Skypo rallied late up the rail and went by the both of them. Baby Afleet tired to 4th. Watch the Replay.

No Maiden Special Weight races scheduled for our horses on February 25, so I'll take a look at an interesting Allowance race at Gulfstream featuring two of our horses.

I am also rooting for Afleet Express. He is in my Derby stable. Please let us know about Backstretch. That term "broke down"

doesn't sound hopeful, but you never know.

Thanks
