Soaring by Afleet Express and Kratisto

Windy City Cat (Include - Peekaboo Cat by Crafty Prospector) and Mine N Gems (Mineshaft - Flager (ARG) by Southern Halo) were scratched. The track was fast. Afleet Express (Afleet Alex - Expanse by Distant View) took most of the attention from the bettors, going off at even money. On the other hand, Kratisto (Afleet Alex - Torch by Risen Star) was a cool 51-1. Soaring Empire (Empire Maker - Flying Passage by A. P. Indy) made a favorable impression. Afleet Express looked ready. Roman Hall (Burning Roma - Apple Hall by Atticus) took a brief lead, but was soon passed by Havanadaydream (Black Mambo - Paper Mountain by Mountain Cat). Also involved early were Latigo Shore (Malibu Moon - Carson's Vanity by Carson City) and Allez Reef (Indian Ocean - Miss Penn by Pentelicus). Afleet Express, as has become his custom, was off slowly. Not as slowly, however, as Kratisto, who trailed the field by 5. Allez Reef and Soaring Empire both made moves in the stretch, but Soaring Empire was going best and took the win. It will be interesting to see where this Triple Crown nominee shows up next. Afleet Express finished 5th. Kratisto never threatened to hit the board, but he did pass a few, finishing 6th. Watch the Replay.
