Stakes Result

Midway Holiday (Harlan's Holiday - Gatap by Buckfinder) was scratched. Both Lisa's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Chianti Red by Woodman) and Go Ask Alex (Afleet Alex - Dominique's Joy by Strawberry Road (AUS)) took money, but Go Ask Alex was favored at post time. As is her custom, Go Ask went right to the front. She was pressed by Helen Belen (Five Star Day - Waterford Express by Cherokee Run). Lisa's Kitten had one horse beat. They went pretty quick up front: :23.45, :46.75, and 1:10.59. However, Go Ask Alex continued to hold a comfortably lead. In the stretch, she scooted away from the field, as Prima Donna Pirate (Tiger Ridge - Coni Bug by Timeless Native) moved into second. Go Ask Alex continued to pour it on late, winning by more than 7 lengths. She established a new track record of 1:34.55 for a mile on the turf at Indiana Downs. Lisa's Kitten never got on track, staying in 6th the whole way. Watch the Replay.
