The Madman Rocks

Tristanme (Bwana Charlie - Forever Full by Full Out) and Harrisons Cave (Black Tie Affair (IRE) - Quiet Rose by King's Grant) were scratched. The entry of Madman Diaries (Bring the Heat - Harper N Abbey by Outflanker) and New Tomorrow (Bring the Heat - Highdollargirl by Helmsman) was favored, but Let's Get Rockin (Rockport Harbor - Impolite by Two Punch) was getting a lot of attention from the bettors as well. New Tomorrow looked good in the paddock, Let's Get Rockin looked ready to roll. Cavaichi (Fusaichi Pegasus - Houston Tune by Houston) made a good appearance on the track. Let's Get Rockin broke from the rail, and didn't get off to the best start. Breaking best was Madman Diaries. New Tomorrow and Cavaichi were chasing. On the turn, Bogalusa (Closing Argument - Kelly's Lake by Salt Lake) veered out, pushing Golden County (Gibson County - Golden Gun by Jeblar) wide. Let's Get Rockin moved to the outside and the stretch and seemed poised to get involved, but flattened out and finished 5th. Meanwhile, Madman Diaries just kept pulling away, and won by 9 3/4 lengths. He established a new track record for 4.5 furlongs at Woodbine, :51.13. New Tomorrow and Cavaichi finished a nose apart in second and third, and Bogalusa was fourth. However, Bogalusa was disqualified for interference and placed 6th. Therefore, Let's Get Rockin officially finishes fourth in his debut. Watch the Replay.
