May 23 Three-Year-Old Results

Stakes Results

Moment of Majesty (filly; Saint Liam - Lady Indy by A. P. Indy) was involved from the beginning of the La Lorgnette Stakes at Woodbine, leading for a time while setting a slow pace. She finished well, but couldn't hold off winner Biofuel or second-place finisher Ernfold, settling for third. Watch the Replay.

Grade III winner Afleet Again (colt; Afleet Alex - Lucky Again by Wild Again) was fractious in the gate of the Spend a Buck Stakes at Monmouth Park, and was wide throughout most of the running. Will's Afleet (colt; Afleet Alex - Prairie Maiden by Badger Land) broke his maiden by an impressive 8 1/2 lengths in race 5 at Monmouth, a 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight. He stalked the early pace, and then took over in the stretch. Watch the Replay.

Maddie's Odyssey (filly; Kitten's Joy - Personal Odyssey by Lemon Drop Kid) was near the back early on in her Allowance race at Arlington Park, but then came rolling 6 wide to pass them all for the victory. Maddie's Odyssey now has 4 wins, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds in 12 starts, with earnings of $90,404. Watch the Replay.

All About Alex (filly; Afleet Alex - California Sunset by Deputy Minister) closed well late to finish 3rd in race 2 at Monmouth, a mile and 70 yard Maiden Special Weight. Watch the Replay.

Hey Hey Mama (filly; Rock Hard Ten - Gemilli by Lemon Drop Kid) pressed the pace in her debut in race 2 at Belmont, a 7 furlong Maiden Special Weight. She weakened a bit late, but still finished a decent 3rd, just a head out of second. However, she was no match for runaway winner Flawless, whose winning margin was 13 1/4 lengths. Watch the Replay.

Seeking the Point (gelding; Saint Liam - So Foolish by Seeking the Gold) finished 6th in race 3 at Suffolk Downs, a 6 furlong Claiming race. 

Dapper Zapper (colt; Ghostzapper - Checkered Flag by A. P. Indy) broke a step slow in race 5 at Churchill Downs, a Maiden Special Weight at 1 1/16 miles on the turf. He then was bumped, and not much involved after that, finishing 6th. Watch the Replay.

Who We Gunna Call (colt; Ghostzapper - Touch Dial by Phone Trick) was scratched from race 8 at Woodbine, a 1 1/16 mile Allowance.

May 24 Three-Year-Old Results

Entranced (filly; Ghostzapper - Fast and Early by Carson City) set the pace in her Allowance race at Indiana Downs, but couldn't hold on and finished 3rd. Watch the Replay.

By n' by Lord (filly; Saint Liam - Gone Bye Bye by Smart Strike) dueled for most of her Allowance race at Prairie Meadows, but couldn't keep up the pace late, finishing third. Watch the Replay.

Trappist Monk (gelding; Saint Liam - Merengue by Broad Brush) finished 4th in race 3 at Delaware Park, a 6 furlong Maiden Claiming race. Watch the Replay.

Mochachino (gelding; Afleet Alex - Peacock Sally by Marquetry) broke slowly, was involved for awhile, but ended up 4th in race 7 at Finger Lakes, a 6 furlong Allowance.

Afleet Alexia (filly; Afleet Alex - Tampico by Sitzmark) broke slowly and was never really involved in her debut in race 2 at Mountaineer Park, finishing 8th (last) in this 5.5 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Watch the Replay.

May 25 Three-Year-Old Results

King Rock (colt; Rock Hard Ten - Queen Mindy by King of Kings (IRE)) sat off the pacesetters early in race 8 at Delaware Park, a 6 furlong Claiming race, but made good progress late to finish 3rd. Watch the Replay.

Russian Kitten (filly; Kitten's Joy - Nikita by Slew City Slew) finished 4th in race 5 at Thistledown, a mile Claiming race. 

Two Joys (filly; Kitten's Joy - Emily's Joy by Mr. Greeley) finished 4th in race 5 at Philadelphia Park, a 5.5 furlong Claiming race, but was disqualified for lugging in and placed 6th. Watch the Replay.

Mis Vizcaya (Successful Appeal - Look for Good by Unbridled's Song) and Include Me Sir (Include - Sir Harriett by Sir Harry Lewis) finished 3rd and 7th in the 4.5 furlong Polly Drummond Stakes at Delaware Park on May 15. It was the first and only start for both. Mis Vizcaya sold for $50,000 as a yearling, and as a 2-year-old. She is out of the winning mare Look for Good. Look for Good has produced 2 winners, one of which won at 2. Look for Good is a half sister to 5 winners, including stakes winner Nonproductiveasset. Include Me Sir is out of the winning mare Sir Harriett. Sir Harriett has produced 7 winners from 8 to run, including stakes winners Overpass and Sir Five Star.

The only other filly with experience is Aphrodite Storm (Roar of the Tiger - Grandma Nena by Montbrook), who was 3rd in her only start, a 4.5 furlong Maiden Special Weight at Delaware Park on May 4. She sold for $7,000 as a yearling, and is by Roar of the Tiger, who unfortunately died on May 24. Aphrodite Storm is the second foal out of the winning mare Grandma Nena. Grandma Nena's first foal, Dbl Nvisabl George, who is a full brother to Aphrodite Storm, is a winner. Grandma Nena is a half sister to 3 winners.

Par Lady (Borrego - Cape Town Lass by Horse Chestnut (SAF)) is by freshman sire Borrego. Borrego has had two starters, which have made 4 total starts, recording 1 win, 1 second, and $33,927. One starter, Nina Fever, was a debut winner. Grade I winner Borrego won 2 races at 2, one on the turf and one on the dirt. Overall, he earned $2,052,090. Grade II stakes-placed Cape Town Lass, dam of Par Lady, earned $215,142. Cape Town Lass is a half sister to 5 winners, including stakes winner Highland Torree.

Looks Like Sis (Mutakddim - Ashley At the Gate by Mt. Livermore) sold for $10,000 as a yearling, and is out of the winning mare Ashley At the Gate. Private Sale (Thunder Gulch - Excellent Future by Royal Academy), who is part of an entry with Mis Mizcaya, is the first foal out of the winning mare Excellent Future. Excellent Future is a half sister to 2 winners.
