Louise Just Wins
Charm Candy (Candy Ride (ARG) - Miss Playbill by Theatrical (IRE)) and Fantastique (More Than Ready - Totally Crafty by Crafty Prospector) were scratched. Miracle Mouse (Concerto - Substitute Witness by Deputed Testamony) ran without shoes. Sugarbomb (Yes It's True - Nice Boots Baby by Storm Boot) took all the early action at the windows, but Reflate the Bubble (Langfuhr - Charismatic Lady by End Sweep) was favored at post time. Also getting attention were Tiz My Time (Sharp Humor - Tiz the Hour by Tiznow), by freshman sire Sharp Humor, and Just Louise (Five Star Day - Kings Lynn by Mt. Livermore). Tiz My Time looked good in the paddock. Sugarbomb was a little on edge. Both Reflate the Bubble and Just Louise made favorable impressions on the track. Sugarbomb acted up a bit as they neared the gate, but the load was fairly smooth. Tiz My Time broke on top, but Sugarbomb went by her for the early lead. Off a beat slow were Just Louise and Reflate the Bubble. Sugarbomb began to fade, and it was left to Just Louise, Reflate the Bubble, and Tiz My Time. Just Louise took over in the stretch, pulling away for a 3 1/4 length victory. Reflate the Bubble held off Tiz My Time for place, but the trainer of Tiz My Time (Ken McPeek) lodged an objection. It was sustained, and Reflate the Bubble was disqualified and placed third. Both Tiz My Time and Reflate the Bubble were green in the stretch, but Reflate the Bubble clearly interfered with her rival. Watch the Replay.
