Tellme All Aboutit
The only experienced horse, Grand Distraction (Artie Schiller - Deal Us In by Mister Baileys (GB)), was scratched, so a field of 8 first-timers went to the post. Fiscal Policy (Wildcat Heir - Betty's Courage by Montbrook) was the 3-5 choice, while Lady Bluegrass (Bluegrass Cat - Unbridled Lady by Unbridled) was little respected at 27-1. I kind of liked the look of Put and Take (Put It Back - Atlantic Hero by Partner's Hero). Crepe Myrtle (Purge - Myrtle Beach by Kingmambo) made a favorable impression as they made their way to the track, as did the favorite. Tellme All Aboutit (Exchange Rate - Look to the Stars by Slew Gin Fizz) was a little rambunctious, sideways in the post parade. Lady Bluegrass showed some spunk, and a big blaze. She looked better and better as she warmed up. The load and the break were pretty smoth, Tellme All Abouit shot to the lead. She was chased by Fiscal Policy and Put and Take, and these three separated from the rest. Lady Bluegrass was at the back. Tellme All Aboutit began to pull away in the stretch, and went on to win by 3 3/4 lengths. Inside Deal (More Than Ready - No Mud On Me by Great Above) was motoring late to pick up the place spot. Lady Bluegrass picked up some speed, and finished a respectable fifth. As an aside, you have to love a horse, like Tellme All Aboutit, who writes her own headline. Watch the Replay.
