A Banner Race For Elk Lady

Wild Cat Sue (Wildcat Heir - Aspiring Sue by Proof) was scratched, and the track was fast. Night Brigade (Rockport Harbor - Speaking of Time by Gilded Time) and her entrymate, Banner Elk Lady (Pleasantly Perfect - Southern Streamer by Dixie Union) were favored. Moonshine Magic (Bluegrass Cat - Rhum by Go for Gin) and her entrymate, Green's Hard Ten (Rock Hard Ten - Greenberg by Royal Academy), were 5-1. Treaty of Paris (Kela - Never Yield by High Yield) came on to the track and just stood there, making quite a picture. Both Night Brigade and Banner Elk Lady looked good warming up. The load was pretty smooth, Moonshine Magic was off slowly and trailed. Treaty of Paris was in the lead, but Night Brigade and Banner Elk Lady were right there. Just off of these was Green's Hard Ten. Treaty of Paris began to tire, leaving Night Brigade and Banner Elk Lady to battle. Banner Elk Lady pulled away from Night Brigade for the victory. Green's Hard Ten made a nice move to secure second, but she was 3 lengths behind the winner. Moonshine Magic passed a few to finish 6th. Watch the Replay.
