Definitely So

There were no scratches, and the track was good. Bail Out the Cat (Tale of the Cat - Golden Gazelle by Meadowlake) was favored. Blue Right By (Bluegrass Cat - Shades of Grace by Seeking the Gold) and his entrymate Lou Brissie (Limehouse - Fearless Wildcat by Forest Wildcat) were 5-2. Another Silver Oak (Bluegrass Cat - Off the Richter by Richter Scale), who was adding blinkers, was 11-1. Commonwealth Rush (Afleet Alex - Wildcat Annie by Forest Wildcat) made a favorable impression. Blue Right By seemed a tad aggravated. Another Silver Oak warmed up nicely. Favorite Bail Out the Cat was acting up just before the break, and came out awkwardly. He was many lengths behind the field. Maybesomaybenot (Sunday Break (JPN) - Majestic Mommy by Olympio) went to the lead, with Another Silver Oak chasing. Blue Right By was at the back. Maybesomaybenot and Another Silver Oak continued 1-2 into the stretch, but Maybesomaybenot began to pull free. He went on to win by 1 1/2 lengths. Nacho Saint (Yes It's True - Flashy by Wild Again) came running late to take second away from Another Silver Oak. Another Silver Oak is now grade II stakes-placed. He ran a decent race, just got a little tired after chasing Maybesomaybenot. Blue Right By wasn't much involved, finishing 7th. There was a stewards inquiry into the start of the race, but they determined that Bail Out the Cat caused his own trouble and he was declared an official starter. Watch the Replay. Putting the Pedal to the Medal

There were no scratches in the 9 horse field. Bob Baffert-trained first-timer Dazzling Display (Dehere - Friend of a Friend by Crafty Friend) was favored. Also taking money were Pacific Pride (Storm Cat - Race for the Stars by Fusaichi Pegasus) and Pedaltothemedal (Medallist - Something Brewing by Meadowlake). Retail (Bluegrass Cat - Jill Robin L by Precocity) was 26-1. Romanette (Roman Ruler - Bathsheba by Dehere) caught my eye, and Pacific Pride made a good impression. Retail looked good warming up, but seemed to be starting to get a little overwrought. She was a little stubborn at the load, and her feet went out from under her a bit at the start. Pedaltothemedal broke for the lead, with Dazzling Display and Romanette in pursuit. Retail had a decent position on the rail around mid-pack. Dazzling Display made a bid on the turn, and looked as though she would pull away for the win. But, Pedaltothemedal fought back and took the win by 1 1/2 lengths. Retail weakened and finished 7th. Watch the Replay.
