Table Does the Talking

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Debuter Just Say Goodbye (Not For Love - Crying in the Rain by Baederwood) took the early money, but the experienced Table Talking (Orientate - Dixie Talking by Dixieland Band) was favored when they broke. Pinch Pie (Victory Gallop - Romp and Stomp by Olympio) also received plenty of attention from the bettors, and Kindersley (Bernardini - Home Court by Storm Cat) was 6-1. Temparnillo (Borrego - Crystal Sea by Sea Hero) caught my eye in the paddock, and Kindersley had some bounce on the track. Full Moon Frolic (Vindication - Frolicing by Royal Academy) set the early pace, with Temparnillo and Table Talking chasing. Kindersley was off a little slowly. Table Talking moved even with the leader going into the stretch, and then rolled on by for a 5 1/4 length victory. Kindersley was really motoring late to pick up the place spot. She was no threat to Table Talking, but should be a force next time around. Pacesetter Full Moon Frolic kept third. Watch the Replay.

Ghost Mistress Gallops Home

Lisvernane (Arch - Owenahincha by Distant View) was scratched, and the Polytrack was fast as usual. Ghost Mistress (Ghostzapper - Gijima by Red Ransom) opened up at even money, and went down from there. Ice Crystal (Henny Hughes - Seek by Devil's Bag) was 24-1. Charismatically (Cozzene - Just Like a Woman by Charismatic) was looking good in the paddock. Croatian Diva (Fusaichi Pegasus - Prime Investor by Deputy Minister) was practicing her dressage moves on the track. Ghost Mistress was looking like a winner before the gates opened. But, she broke slowly, as did Purple Pillow (Peace Rules - Skippingall Theway by Skip Away). Good Lady (Good Reward - Lady Kilkeelan by Lil's Lad) went for the lead from her rail position, and Ice Crystal took after her. Croatian Diva stalked the top pair in third. Ghost Mistress began to get involved after 6 furlongs, and surged into the lead on the turn. Charismatically and Grisaille (El Prado (IRE) - Dress to Impress by Formal Gold) were putting in runs, but they were too late to threaten Ghost Mistress. She crossed the wire 7 lengths in front. Charismatically and Grisaille were in a deadhead for second, and pacesetter Good Lady was just a nose behind them. Ice Crystal tired after her early activity, finishing 7th. An impressive victory for Ghost Mistress, especially considering her late start. Watch the Replay.
