Two-Year-Old Result

My Bellamy Winner

The only scratches were the AEs, and the track was fast. Its Rodeo Time (Gilded Time - My First Rodeo by Rodeo) was favored early, but the nod went to Devilish Darling (Devil His Due - Amydarling Too by Seattle Sleet) at post time. My Bellamy (Bellamy Road - Holiday Rates - Concorde's Tune) was respected at 4-1. She looked good on the track. Marqued for Glory (Marquetry - Runrhondarun by Sword Dance (IRE)) looked a little on edge. Despite the full field of unraced 2-year-old fillies, the load was pretty smooth, but Dr Megann (Lion Heart - Congratulating by Luhuk) broke slowly. There was a bit of a scramble for the early lead, with Its Rodeo Time and She's My Geek (Consolidator - Jazzamatassle by Peruvian) going for it. But, it was My Bellamy that gained command. Its Rodeo time pressed for a time, but soon retreated. A more persistent pursuer was She's My Geek. However, in the stretch, My Bellamy began to pull away. She was cruising, and no one was making up much ground. She crossed the wire 4 lengths in front. She's My Geek held second over Dr Megann, who was going well late after her tardy start. My Bellamy is winner number 6 for Bellamy Road. Watch the Replay.
