Angel Finds Home

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Coolmon Kitty (Touch Tone - Cool Mon by Maria's Mon) was favored by a tick over Angel At Home (Seeking a Home - Missy Cherub by Corwyn Bay (IRE)). Shady Oaks (Rockport Harbor - Pulled Together by Woodman) was almost 14-1. Peaknatacat (Peak a Bootrando - Clickety Cat by Mountain Cat) caught my eye in the paddock. Jenna's Pride (Unbridled Native - Theresa's Memo by Memo (CHI)) went to the front at the break. Coolmon Kitty and Angel At Home were chasing. Shady Oaks was back with the trailing group. Jenna's Pride continued to lead into the stretch. Coolmon Kitty began to retreat, but Angel At Home was just getting into gear. She flew by Jenna's Pride, and kept on going, winning by 5. Jenna's Pride was another 4 1/4 ahead of Peaknatacat, who was on the scene late for third. Shady Oaks finished 7th.
