Two-Year-Old Result

Paige Me for the Win

The track was fast and there were no scratches, all 10 ran. Akapesche (Soto - Below Zero by High Yield) was the 4-5 choice. Rock the Harbor (Rockport Harbor - Brave the Storm by Storm Cat) was 6-1. The favorite looked good in the post parade. I was kind of liking the filly Fresh Brewed (Milwaukee Brew - Fresh Scent by Mt. Livermore). Rock the Harbor made a decent appearance. There was a scramble for the early lead, Paige Me (Shaniko - Jaunty Day by Pine Bluff) and Akapesche were at the head of it. Rock the Harbor stalked this top pair in third on the outside. He seemed poise for a big run. Paige Me continued on top. Akapesche kept coming and coming, but he was a nose short at the wire. Marylovesteton (Teton Forest - Trouble With Mary by Touch Gold) and Suddsy Sunday (Dance With Ravens - Heartful Hero by Partner's Hero) both finished well to take third and fourth. Rock the Harbor flattened out, and finished 6th. Still, it was an improvement over his debut. Paige Me is winner number 5 for Shaniko. Watch the Replay.

Well Alexandra Rylee didn't disappoint-is she Afleet Alex's daughter or is she Afleet Alex's daughter!

Great race at Parx Philly. Watch that girl, I don't believe in jinxes so I'm going to say it again-Kentucky Derby here we come!

I just have to say May Day Rose in this column is a beautiful name for a horse and the time is great on the track. We're going to have some great fillies this year coming up. I think the competition is going to be awesome.

Don: If they run her at Gulfstream; she should save her strength and don't want her to do too much-after all when she wins the Triple Crown that's going to be a breather!!!

Don - Sorry you can't see Sunday Punch's race, I think today might be the day. I received my Delaware entries late. Not sure what was up with that.
