News and Notes

The Breeders' Cup Pre-entries were released, and we have Maiden Watch horses in each of the four Juvenile race. In the Juvenile Fillies Turf, we have stakes winner Kathmanblu (Bluegrass Cat - Abba Gold by Devil's Bag) and group III winner Theyskens' Theory (Bernardini - Heat Lightning by Summer Squall). Theyskens' Theory is also entered in the Juvenile Fillies, where she would take on grade I winner A Z Warrior (Bernardini - Carson Jen by Carson City). On Saturday, undefeated group I winner Biondetti (Bernardini - Lyphard's Delta by Lyphard) is entered in the Juvenile Turf and the Juvenile. The latter race includes grade I stakes-placed Stay Thirsty (Bernardini - Marozia by Storm Bird). I'll talk more about these races next week, after the final entries are announced. Two-Year-Old Results

Fantasy Bay (filly; Bluegrass Cat - South Bay Cove by Fusaichi Pegasus) was in a good spot early in her 5.5 furlong Maiden Special Weight at Delaware Park, but tired late and finished 6th. Deco Rocks (Rockport Harbor - Decoratedwithonour by Matter of Honor) was scratched from this race. Watch the Replay.

Jaridh (colt; Bernardini - Mansfield Park (GB) by Green Desert) chased early in his Maiden race at Kempton, but weakened and finished 10th.

Gold Pearl (colt; Henny Hughes - Gold Pattern by Slew o' Gold) finished 4th in his handicap at Kempton.

Jinjalad (colt; Bellamy Road - Maria Dolores by Prized) dueled for the early lead in his Maiden Claiming race at Delaware Park, and then pulled away in the stretch for a 2 1/4 length victory. He is winner number 8 for Bellamy Road. Watch the Replay

Alta Boy (Bluegrass Cat - Alta Love by Gone West) makes start number 5 in this 5.5 furlong turf contest. This is his third try at 5.5 furlongs on the Laurel turf. Then, on October 8 at that same track and distance, he went right to the lead, was pressed from the start, shook free from that pursuer, and was just caught by the favorite late.
