Miles is Long Gone

There were no scratches, as all six ran. Minutesandtouches (Rockport Harbor - Flexible Princess by Honor and Glory) was favored, while Rockin Harbor (Rockport Harbor - Java Jolt by Hennessy) was 8-1. I was kind of liking Call Me Later (Old Topper - Classical Lady by Bartok (IRE)) in the paddock. Rockin Harbor looked ready to go, Minutesandtouches looked good on the track. Miles Long Gone (Candy Ride (ARG) - Carter's Lady by Banker's Gold) was a tad reluctant to load. Five battled up front early, with only Run Mark Run (Benchmark - Magic Fantasy by Pirate's Bounty) left behind. Mike Smith was really pushing Minutesandtouches to get involved early. Miles Long Gone took the lead on the inside, but Minutesandtouches was right with him. But, in the stretch, Miles Long Gone began to pull away for a clear win. Call Me Later overtook Minutesandtouches to secure second, while Minutesandtouches and Rockin Harbor took third and fourth. Watch the Replay.

A Regal Revenge

The track was fast. Afleet Kopper (Northern Afleet - Ultra Tech by Maria's Mon) and Makelovenotwar (War Front - Gatherindy by A. P. Indy) were scratched. Father Hughes (Henny Hughes - Ms. Patty B. by Grey Dawn II) was favored. Fellow first-timer Regal Revenge (Petionville - Regal Boot by Storm Boot) was also getting play.Celestial Fields (Bluegrass Cat - May Star by Unbridled) was 4-1. He was on the muscle. Father Hughes was looking good, and Lionofwallstreet (Consolidator - Cold Chick by Unbridled) seemed ready to explode. It was a decent start, Father Hughes broke on top. He had company from Celestial Fields and Regal Revenge. Then Celestial Fields dropped back, leaving Regal Revenge and Father Hughes to battle. Regal Revenge shook free in the stretch, and cruised to a 4 length win. Kodiak Song (Domestic Dispute - The Best Sister by Salem Drive) was on the scene late to pick up second, and Father Hughes held third. Celestial Fields finished 8th (last) after his early involvement. Nice win for Regal Revenge, but not a bad debut for Father Hughes. Watch the Replay.
