Fort Hughes (colt; Henny Hughes - Forty Greeta (ARG) by Roar) went to the lead in the 6 furlong Jimmy Winkfield Stakes at Aqueduct. He set some ambitious fractions, :22.21, :44.67, but kept on running, winning by 4 3/4 lengths in a time of 1:08.33. Fort Hughes is the first stakes winner for Henny Hughes. Watch the Replay.

Bluegrass Bull (colt; Bluegrass Cat - La Gomera (IRE) by Hamas (IRE)) was involved at the beginning of the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn Park, and finished third. But, it's hard to say what happened in between, as it was rather foggy at Oaklawn Monday. The winner was Caleb's Posse (Posse - Abbey's Missy by Slewacide). Favorite Archarcharch finished fourth. Sinai (colt; Rockport Harbor - Dontgetinmyway by Machiavellian) had a bit of an adventure in the San Pedro Stakes at Santa Anita. He broke in the air, pressed the pace, steadied on the turn, and was stuck in traffic most of the way. Despite all that, he finished a decent third. The winner was Indian Winter (Indian Charlie - Backroom Blues by Dixieland Band). Watch the Replay.

Hugh and Me (colt; Henny Hughes - Princess V. by Memo (CHI)) dueled early in race 6 at Gulfstream, a 6 furlong Claiming Race (Claiming Price $25,000), and then sped away in the slop, to win by 9. Hugh and Me now has 3 wins and a third in 5 starts. He was claimed out of the race. Watch the Replay.

Race 9 at Gulfstream Park, a $75,000 Maiden Claiming Race, was taken off of the turf and run on the sloppy main track. Lady Bluegrass (filly; Bluegrass Cat - Unbridled Lady by Unbridled) was involved early, but faded to 8th. Watch the Replay.
