News and Notes

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard the news that Zenyatta will be bred to Bernardini this year. Good luck to all parties involved in that endeavor.

I was perusing the nominees for the Whirlaway Stakes, and saw that Arthur's Tale (Bernardini - Owsley by Harlan), Cat Sweep (Bluegrass Cat - Nany's Sweep by End Sweep), and Toby's Corner (Bellamy Road - Brandon's Ride by Mister Frisky) have all been nominated. I would love to see them all run. The Whirlaway is 1 1/16 miles at Aqueduct on February 5.
