She is a half sister to 2 winners, including grade III stakes-placed Kinsella. Kinsella did not run at 2, but was a debut winner at 3. Win My Heart, dam of Good Hearted, is a half sister to 3 winners, including grade III winner Secret Liaison.

Worth the Wait

After four tries, Calvados (Henny Hughes - Morning Time by Gilded Time) and Kiwi Humor (Bluegrass Cat - High Humor by Distorted Humor) finally got to run at Parx Racing. Ultimate X. (Unbridled's Song - Smokey Glacken by Forestry) was the only scratch, and the track was fast. Atlantic King (Stormy Atlantic - Funny Mood (ARG) by Equalize) took the early money, but Uniquely (The Daddy - Cope With Reality by Marco Bay) was favored at post time. Calvados was almost 4-1, and Kiwi Humor was 30-1. I kind of liked the look of debuting Padre Ed (Dance With Ravens - Dixie Music by Prospector's Music) in the paddock. Calvados made a favorable impression, and Kiwi Humor was a little on edge in the post parade. Padre Ed tried to sit down at the start, and gave the rest a head start (the official chart comment was an amusing, "squatted at start."). Atlantic King went to the front, with Calvados in pursuit on the rail. The Magic Bus (Smart Strike - Favorite Feather by Capote) was briefly involved, but then began to drop back. All of the Above (Iron Deputy - Sprinkles Rodeogal by Heff) joined the fray in third. Calvados was switched to the outside for the drive to the wire. He overtook Atlantic King, but All of the Above was making his move on the rail. However, Calvados had his neck in front at the finish, to pick up his maiden win. Kiwi Humor didn't do much running, finishing 6th. You might want to keep an eye on Padre Ed, who was 5th after his fiasco at the start. The Magic Bus tired badly, and fell near the wire. He popped back up, however, and finished the race under his own power. His jockey, Saul Arias, went down hard. I did not hear an update on his condition, but he did take off the rest of his mounts on the day. There was an inquiry into the start, but Padre Ed was found to have made his own trouble. Watch the Replay.

Don - Hope you played Kindersley, that was sweet. Pub Hughes looked good, but no value there.

Yes and Yes, I was so happy that Matz had "K" ready and what a price, boy Peb Hughes was a powerhouse back on dirt, not sure of the time, but awesome and rewarding, I've been following these two since they ran early fall at DP, Don

Don - I thought maybe you were the lone pick 6 winner at $80,000. I had $3 to win on Kindersley and a dollar exacta. I'm happy with that, as I have been in a cold spell.

Christ, just reading your comment, no I wish I was that winner! I did have "K" to win, but had also the double with race before and race after, all my exotics on the actual race did not score, as I really thought (wrong!)#1 Pletcher horse would win, so no exacta, etc, not even a 10 cent superfecta, and as you said glad "Peb Hughes" won, and big, but no price, and with my other pick 3-4, lost by noses with favorites #9's just didn't work on Wednesday at GS for me, oh well, having a winner is nice...enjoy Don
