The only scratches were the AEs, including Refugio (Bernardini - Storm Minstrel by Storm Cat), she'll run instead at Gulfstream on Saturday. Celestial Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Heavenly Glory by Honour and Glory) was favored, and Gharbiah (Bernardini - Cuando Quiere by Affirmed) was 25-1. Susans Strong Hope (Strong Hope - Im Out First by Allen's Prospect) was not interested in getting out of the gate, Frontside (War Front - Azarba by Strawberry Road (AUS)) went right to the lead. Strike It Green (Smart Strike - Green Noble by Green Dancer) and Pampering (Hennessy - Hot Attraction by Pulpit) set after Frontside, and Exchanging Smiles (Exchange Rate - Rainbow Smile by El Prado (IRE)) and Celestial were not far off. Gharbiah was near the back. Frontside continued on top, and spurted away in the stretch. She crossed the line 3 1/4 lengths in front. First-timer Race to Urga (Bernstein - Miss Mambo by Kingmambo) had no where to go for most of the stretch, finally got free, and finished well to grab second.
