Gypsy Robin Flies Home for Daaher

R Turn Now (Tiznow - Brady's Best by Wild Again) was scratched, and her entrymate, Gypsy Robin (Daaher - Feisty Princess by Indian Charlie), was favored. Painted Woman (Forest Wildcat - Lawanda by Pioneering) was also taking some action. Dorothy's Aurora (Simon Pure - Aurora X F by Tale of the Cat) caught my eye in the paddock, and Sassy Secretary (Suave - Office Gossip by Stormin Fever) look good on the track. Gypsy Robin broke on top, with Painted Woman after her. Stormy Donna Gail (Stormello - Silver On Gold by Artax) and Dorothy's Aurora were the next two. Gypsy Robin began to pull away in the stretch. She left the others behind with a 7 1/2 length victory. Painted Woman held second, and Dorothy's Aurora overtook Stormy Donna Gail late for third. Gypsy Robin is the first winner for Daaher, who has just five registered 2-year-olds, so 20% winners in his first crop. Watch the Replay. Read more about Gypsy Robin here.

i'm just surprised that you didn't touch on the pre-race antics by grace abounds who apparently thinks that she should come out of the tunnel on two legs, before rearing again and tossing her jockey when she lost her balance the second time she reared, before falling over and taking off, due to the crowds yelling and spooking her into running, before getting pinned to the outer rail by two outriders.

anna - Grace Abounds wasn't in Friday's race at Keeneland. Are you thinking of Grace Was Given? Grace Abounds did run at Keeneland on April 9.

As I am working while watching the races, I don't always catch all the pre-race activities. Please feel free to comment on them.

which whatever her name with, i was a bit too worried about her wellbeing, than her name at the point, since she was fine in the walking ring, but coming out of the tunnel, she went sideways and by the time she reached the entrance to the track she was on two legs, her jockey managed to hang on the first time she reared, second time he bailed, when she went over to avoid her landing on top of him. before she climbed to her feet and trotted giddy over to another outrider which the person tried to grab her reins, even though the woman was holding onto another filly with her other hand, then the crowd roared and she took off from getting spooked and bucking a second, before two outriders literally slammed her up against the rail. the one rider who grabbed her, had seen her start taking off and thumped his horse into a dead run before the filly caught up with the outrider and was pinned to the railing.
