I hope that everyone had a good Memorial Day Weekend that included some great racing action. No entries for the next couple days for our 2-year-olds, so this post will be dominated by the workout report.

Runfor Ro Gets the Dough

Offlee Bossy (Offlee Wild - Embossed by Silver Deputy) was scratched, leaving 8 to run on the Polytrack. Debuting Ten K Cat (Tale of the Cat - Jeanne's Honor by Honour and Glory) was favored. Also getting play was Acme Bomb (Henny Hughes - Choose a Crown by Ogygian), fourth previously versus the boys. Zsa Zsa Galore (Scat Daddy - Galore by Gulch), by freshman sire Scat Daddy, was a little keyed up. I was kind of liking longshot Awfully Sinful (El Corredor - Sinful by Touch Gold). Runfor Ro (Afleet Alex - Fortune Queen by Lear Fan) was a little jumpy at the load. Samsal (Consolidator - Willow Rush by Wild Rush) and Acme Bomb mixed it up early, with Runfor Ro just off these. Runfor Ro moved closer on the turn, as Acme Bomb began to tire. Samsal and Runfor Ro battled to the wire, exchanging bumps. At the finish, Samsal was a neck in front. However, there was a stewards' inquiry, as well as a jockey claim of foul against the winner. They looked at the replay a long time, before disqualifying Samal, and declaring Runfor Ro the winner. Four lengths behind the top 2 was Ticket to Broadway (Mineshaft - Celtic Craft by Danehill), a neck better than a closing E. Z. Irish (Easing Along - Mapenga by El Prado (IRE)), who started slowly. Acme Bomb tired to fifth, followed by Awfully Sinful, a slow-starting Ten K Cat, and Zsa Zsa Galore. Watch the Replay.

I was kind of shocked at Mabroor coming back so soon, I wonder if he finished 4th because he wasnt ready to run again so soon.

I got a notice from my virtual stable that Filare L'oro is racing on 06/04/2011 in the 6th race at Delaware Park. She will be facing Dancing Anna again who is the morning line favorite at 2/1. Filare is 8/1. I won't be able to go this time, but I will be watching on TVG or HRTV. Good luck !

Also, I am wondering why Bluegrass Atatude, who won the first start for Filare L'oro has had no works since 04/02/2011. Did she injure herself in the race ?
