July 14 Result

Valley of Avoca Good on the Green

Terralba (Langfuhr - Marquee Attraction by Storm Cat), entrymate to Isra (Easing Along - Constant Companion by Relaunch), and More Than Love (More Than Ready - I'm in Love by Zafonic) were scratched. The turf was firm for the remaining eight. Debuting St Pancras (Scat Daddy - Marylebone by Unbridled's Song) was favored, with second time starter Isra (Easing Along - Constant Companion by Relaunch) also getting plenty of play. Queen of England (English Channel - Babae (CHI) by Barkerville) was 14-1. She looked good in the paddock. St Pancras made a good appearance on the track, but I thought that Valley of Avoca (Intidab - Al Basar by Sahm) looked interesting. Isra was a little wild in the prelims. Valley of Avoca broke like a rocket, but Queen of England was not far off. St Pancras began moving on the outside. She took over second, as Queen of England dropped back. Sisterhood (Kitten's Joy - Caterette by Cozzene) was in the mix as well. Valley of Avoca and St Pancras spurted away from the rest, and battled to the wire. Valley of Avoca never let St Pancras get by, and took the race by a neck. Isra ran well late to snatch third from Sisterhood. She should enjoy stretching out this summer at Saratoga. Queen of England checked in at fifth after her early involvement. Watch the Replay.

Sharp Tradition has produced 8 winners, including stakes winner Dynasharp, and turf stakes winner Transition Time. Two other offspring of Sharp Tradition won on the turf, and four won at 2, including one debut winner at 2.
