Seeker (colt; Hard Spun - Classic Olympio by Olympio) was third the whole way round in the Nashua Stakes (gr. II), which was run on a good track at Belmont Park. The race turned out to be a two-horse race between Trinniberg (Teuflesberg - Bella Dorato by Goldminers Gold) and Vexor (Wildcat Heir - Real Clever Trick by Yes It's True), with the latter horse getting by for a 3/4 length victory at the finish. Favorite She Digs Me (Henny Hughes - Stage Stop by Valid Expectations) trailed throughout. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Nashua here.

Captain Webb (ridgling; English Channel - Miss Mary Pat by Service Stripe) set the pace in the Pilgrim Stakes (gr. IIIT) run on soft turf at Belmont, and Knock Rock (colt; Corinthian - Lady Cozzette by Cozzene) made a move in the stretch, but Shkspeare Shaliyah (Shakespeare - Tricky Mistress by Clever Trick) went by everyone for a length victory over Kitten's Kid (Kitten's Joy - Madame Du Lac by Lemon Drop Kid) and Fantastic Song (Lemon Drop Kid - Fantastic Shirl by Fantastic Light), who were a nose apart in third and fourth. Captain Webb and Knock Rock tired to finish fourth and fifth, and Fox Rules (Roman Ruler - Shesastonecoldfox by Foxhound) was 6th. As predicted, morning-line favorite State of Play (War Front - Valeta by Procida) was scratched. Shkspeare Shaliyah is the first stakes winner for freshman sire Shakespeare. Watch the Replay. Making Golden History

The Polytrack was fast as usual. Sky High Lady (Sky Mesa - My Dear Lady (ARG) by Mutakddim) was the only scratch. Debuting Golden History (Medaglia d'Oro - User History by Mr. Prospector) was favored by a couple of ticks over Holy Wine (Holy Bull - Flows Like Wine by Mt. Livermore). English Sunrise (English Channel - California Sunset by Deputy Minister) was 19-1. First-timer Mekong Delta (Stormy Atlantic - South Sea Blues by Cure the Blues) sprinted to the lead, with Holy Wine and English Sunrise her closest pursuers. Almira Fawn (E Dubai - New Dimension by Golden Missile) was off slowly. Mekong Delta continued to lead, but Holy Wine was getting closer, and put some pressure on the pacesetter. Closing from the back was Golden History, who swept by them all on the outside for a 2 3/4 length win. Dolce Lemone (Lemon Drop Kid - Green Noble by Green Dancer) closed ground as well to take second, and Holy Wine held third. English Sunrise retreated to finish 6th, one spot better than pacesetter Mekong Delta. Watch the Replay.
