Prettygood and You (Corinthian - Ketchmewhereyoucan by Distorted Humor) was scratched from the 10th at Keeneland. The winner was Soft Whisper (Bernstein - Unbridled Mistress by Unbridled's Song) by a neck over Coup (Empire Maker - French Lady (NZ) by Entrepreneur (GB)), who was disqualified, and placed last for interfering with Irish Exchange (Exchange Rate - Silver N Satin by Silver Deputy). Please note before you watch the replay, Irish Exchange's fall is clearly visible. The filly is fine, however, her jockey, Gabriel Saez, was hospitalized. Watch the Replay.

Hard Not to Like (filly; Hard Spun - Like a Gem by Tactical Cat) stalked the early pace in the 1 1/16 mile Cup and Saucer Stakes on the soflt turf at Woodbine, and then made her move on the outside, hitting the front, and rolling to a 4 3/4 length win.. She really seemed to be having fun out there, and was full of pep before and after the race. Hard Not to Like now has three wins in four starts, with earnings of $250,035. She is the third stakes winner for Hard Spun, and his second stakes winner in 2 days. Two entrants in the Cup and Saucer failed to finish the race. Secret Consultant (War Front - Terrigal by Seattle Slew) broke down, and was euthanized, and Aldous Snow (Theatrical (IRE) - Brave Destiny by Quiet American) was pulled up to avoid Secret Consultant. Aldous Snow is reportedly during fine after the race. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Cup and Saucer here.

Midnight Vader (colt; Invasor - Allou by Seattle Slew) closed well to grab third in the Juvenile Stakes for Ohio-breds at Thistledown. He was no match for the top 2, but this definitely was a positive result, after a couple of dull outings. The winner was License to Bling (Too Much Bling - Awesome Eve by Awesome Again), who led throughout, and then drew away to win by 4 3/4 lengths. Watch the Replay.

Filare l'Oro (filly; Hard Spun - Elusive Gold by Strike the Gold) came on late to finish fourth in the Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park. Liquidity Springs the Trap

The turf was yielding, but all eight stayed in the race. Liquidity Trap (El Prado (IRE) - Shy Greeting (ARG) by Shy Tom) was favored, but Knock Rock (Corinthian - Lady Cozzette by Cozzene) was respected some at 4-1. Also getting play was Margano (Dynaformer - La Ville Rouge by Carson City), the full brother to Barbaro. Matisse (Master Command - Keepyourwitsaboutu by Torrential) caught my eye, he and the favorite got nice warmups. Knock Rock kicked up his heels at the load. Margano went to the lead, chased by Knock Rock. Matisse was up close for a time, and then retreated. Margano and Knock Rock continued 1-2 for a time, but Liquidity Trap was looming. He swept by for a 1 1/4 length win. Margano held second over Knock Rock, and it was more than 6 lengths back to the rest of them. Watch the Replay.

The Stars Align for a Win

The race was taken off the turf, and run on the fast main track. Masquerade (Silent Name (JPN) - Present Colors by Prized), Serene (Aldebaran - Maidens Prayer by Hennessy), My Lil Virginia (Concorde's Tune - Obliterate 'em by El Gran Senor), and Ainsley (Officer - Surging Storm by Storm Creek) were scratched. AEs Dance to Bristol (Speightstown - Dance to Dawn by Louis Quatorze) and Johns Girl Jess (Badge of Silver - Ashley At the Gate by Mt. Livermore), and MTO Starsonhershoulder (Quiet American - Dress Grey by Lion Hearted) got to run. Allwewantforxmas (Songandaprayer - Grecian Wings by Mr. Greeley) was favored. Boudicca (Hard Spun - Taft Lil Queen by Irish Open) was more than 18-1. I kind of liked the looks of Starsonhershoulder. Allwewantforxmas outbroke the field, and set the early pace, with Bubbie Hon (Langfuhr - For Fun by Not For Love) chasing. Boudicca broke slowly, and was near the back. Allwewantforxmas continued to lead, with Bubbie Hon after her. But, coming on late were Starsonhershoulder and Dance to Bristol (Speightstown - Dance to Dawn by Louis Quatorze). Starsonhershoulder got the win by a neck over Dance to Bristol. Bubbie Hon was back in third, holding off More Than a Cruise (More Than Ready - River Cruise by Not For Love). Pacesetter Allwewantforxmas had to settle for 5th, and Boudicca picked up a couple places to finish 6th. Watch the Replay.
