A Wee Too Much Partying

There were no scratches, as the field of 6 ran on the fast track. Be With Me (Corinthian - Sonoma Song by Unbridled's Song) was favored, but Holiday's Jewel (Harlan's Holiday - Denali Red by Crafty Prospector) was also well-regarded. Be With Me looked dynamite in the paddock. Raise the Flag (Awesome Again - My Flag by Easy Goer) had the look of a horse that wants to run a couple of miles. Wee Party (Indian Charlie - Hen Party by Hennessy) looked good on the track. Both first-timers, Spelling Test (Alphabet Soup - Clever Me by Not For Love) and Scenic Gulch (Thunder Gulch - Scenic Point by Unbridled) were off slowly, Holiday's Jewel and Wee Party shared a bump. Be With Me went to the front. Wee Party was second, but didn't apply much pressure early. Wee Party moved even with Be With Me. Those 2 raced together for a time, but then Wee Party shook free. Holiday's Jewel made it interesting late, reducing the final margin to 1/2 length, but Wee Party got the victory. Be With Me held third over a closing Raise the Flag. Scenic Gulch and Spelling Test never really got on track, finishing 5th and 6th. Watch the Replay.
