An Exothermic Run

Bridge Loan (Empire Maker - Bridge Game by Giant's Causeway) was scratched from the main field, and AE entrant Awesome Life (Awesome Again - Dyna's Destiny by Dynaformer) drew in. The other AEs and the MTO stayed in the barn. The turf was firm for the remaining 12. Big Blue Spirit (Invincible Spirit (IRE) - Blue Sail by Kingmambo), last seen in Ireland, was the tepid favorite in the early wagering, but took more action as post time approached. Awesome Life was practically the only other horse that inspired faith from the bettors. Dynamical (Hard Spun - Favorite Feather by Capote) was 14-1, and Yankee Boss (English Channel - Jenny Joy by Acceptable) was 16-1. Bill of Rights (Tiznow - Sweet Damsel by Turkoman) caught my eye in the paddock. I liked Todd Cole (Malibu Moon - Critical Cat by Tactical Cat) best in the post parade. Yankee Boss and Dynamical looked decent, although I preferred Yankee Boss on looks. Exothermic (Empire Maker - Irridescence (SAF) by Caesour) was acting a little wild. The start was good for most. Uncle Calvin (Broken Vow - Humor Me Molly by Distorted Humor) had to steady and trailed. Bill of Rights went to the lead, with Saturday's for Fun (Any Given Saturday - Changing World by Spinning World) and Megamove (High Cotton - Miss Sabrina by Summer Squall) chasing. Exothermic had a nice spot on the rail, and Dynamical and Yankee Boss were near the back. Bill of Rights continued on top with Saturday's for Fun in pursuit. But Exothermic was moved to the outside, and blew them away, winning by 2 3/4 lengths. The rest of the runners finished in a pretty tight pack. Favorite Big Blue Spirit snagged second late by 1/2 length, with Late Starter a neck better than Saturday's for Fun, who had his head in front of a weakening Bill of Rights. Dynamical was just a neck behind Bill of Rights, and he was followed by Yankee Boss in 7th. Watch the Replay.

Trois Aureole (filly; English Channel - Two Halos by Saint Ballado) was at the back early, then came running to finish second in her debut in race 8 at Fair Grounds, a 6 furlong Maiden Claiming Race. The winner of the race was the delightfully named Just Like Juliet (Shakespeare - Biding Time by Seeking the Gold), who is winner number 8 for Shakespeare. Watch the Replay.

I Sense Your Luck (filly; Street Sense - Racing Luck by Out of Place) finished second, and Punch Drunk (filly; Corinthian - Punch Appeal by Successful Appeal) was 6th after a slow start in race 3 at Santa Anita, a 6 furlong Claiming Race (Claiming Price $20,000). Spun Clear runs back on Saturday at Turfway Park.

Bella's Fantasy (filly; Hard Spun - Fantasy Lake by Salt Lake) was scratched from race 8 at Santa Anita, a 5.5 furlong Maiden Claiming Race (Claiming Price $30,000). Favorite Two Feathers (Storm Victory - Never Late Early by Pyramid Peak) prevailed by a length. Watch the Replay.

Tough races at Big A and GS, feel slight edge to Lisa T being half brother won 2010 KD for same connections, and at GS like the write up for Regalo Mia, will have to see PP's though...Don

Don - Lisa T definitely has talent, but very green last out. Perhaps, they have that fixed. Gulfstream looks like a fun one.
