Glitzi's Finale Eclipses the Fantasy

The rains came to New Orleans, and this one was taken off of the turf and run at a mile and 70 yards on the muddy main track. Minestrone (Forestry - Joy Valley (BRZ) by Ghadeer), A T Money (Unusual Heat - Andover the Money by Dynaformer)  Pretty Charming (Offlee Wild - Cheerio Charmer by Dixieland Band), and Fashioned (Smart Strike - What a Girl Needs by Dixieland Band) were scratched. MTO entrant Raquel (Toccet - I've Been a Gem by Saint Ballado) got to run, and was made the favorite. Street Fantasy (Street Sense - Rich Fantasy by Richter Scale) was 7-1, but she looked ready for action. She came out of the gate running, pursued by Glitzi's Finale (Jump Start - Glitzi Bj by Mogambo). Just off these were Nicky's Way (First Samurai - Bunting by Private Account) and Rocket Shoes (Mr. Greeley - Dying Burns by Deputy Minister). Street Fantasy continued to lead, but Glitzi's Finale kept coming and coming. She just got up at the wire, to nip Street Fantasy by a head.
