Indio Carlos Gets Some Sense

The track was fast, and all 8 ran. Indio Carlos (Indian Charlie - Mrs. Coolidge by Quiet American) was favored, and Know Sense (Street Sense - For All We Know by Stephen Got Even) was 7-2. I liked the look of Ceebett's Soul (Perfect Soul (IRE) - Ceebett's Dancer by Moscow Ballet) in the paddock. Duttons Pride (Kafwain - Unbridled Contessa by Unbridled's Song) was showing some spunk on the track, and Know Sense made a favorable appearance.  Iza of Onyx (Chapel Royal - Stone of Silver by Astro) was left at the break, the others were off well. Ceebett's Soul went to the front with Buddylight (Cherokee Rap - W W Light House by Chester House) pressing early. Know Sense had only Iza of Onyx beat early. Buddylight began to retreat, and Sunny Fitz (Seattle Fitz (ARG) - Mary's Apparition by Northern Score) took up the pursuit of Ceebett's Soul. Indio Carlos came running on the outside, and quickly moved to the lead, and built up a several length advantage. Know Sense was starting to make up ground. He moved into second and took after Indio Carlos. Indio Carlos held him off by a half-length, but Know Sense made it interesting, hinting at better things to come. Watch the Replay.
