No Secret to Winning

There were no scratches on the Tapeta. Hard Spun Secrets (Hard Spun - No Secrets by El Corredor) was the heavy favorite. They broke together, apart from Tudi Be Tru (Truckee - Tudi Cielo by Stately Cielo), who gave the others a head start. Sporty Semenya (Lasersport - Sylvana by Indian Charlie) emerged from the pack to set the pace. Lookinforasugardad (Lemon Drop Kid - What a Girl Needs by Dixieland Band), Sizzling Lassie (In Excess (IRE) - Sizzling Sarah by Tiger Ridge), and Soft Shoulders (Capsized - Sassy Rhythm by Gilded Time) were the closest pursuers. Sporty Semenya continued to lead, but Hard Spun Secrets was coming. She made up ground on the inside, and then switched to the outside, and took command for a 2 1/2 length win. Sporty Semenya was safe in second, and Donna Sha Lei Lei (Pleasantly Perfect - Flaming Dixie by Dixieland Band) came on for third. Watch the Replay.
