Speaking Loudly

Saturday Blues (Any Given Saturday - Blue Lagoon by Saint Ballado) was scratched, leaving 8 on the fast track. Coral Glade (Unbridled's Song - Jessamy Lane by Hennessy) was favored, and Ice Cream Silence (Street Sense - Double Scoop by Seeking the Gold) was 9-2. City Empress (Empire Maker - Pretty City by Carson City) ducked in at the start and trailed, and Kitty Caution (Tale of the Cat - Catch a Warning by Caveat) stumbled. Going to the lead from the outside was Coral Glade. Down West (Gone West - Down Here by Dehere), Ice Cream Silence, and Joya Real (Eddington - Regal Locket by Regal Classic) were all showing early interest. Coral Glade continued to lead, and was able to finally get over towards the rail. However, she was unable to shake free from her competition. Joya Real made the first move, getting even on the turn. But making an inside move was Ice Cream Silence. Joya Real stuck with her for a bit, but then Ice Cream Silence pulled away, recording an easy 4 1/2 length win. Joya Real was safe in second, and Coral Real tired to third. Watch the Replay.

Certainty (Lawyer Ron - I Don't Know by Star de Naskra) has run 8 times, including 7 times on the turf, finishing second 4 times. All of her placings have been on the turf. Most recently, she finished 2nd in a mile turf race at Gulfstream Park on February 4, behind Parranda. Certainty was favored in that race, and stumbled at the start. Certainty sold for $55,000 as a 2-year-old, and is a half sister to 3 winners. Her dam, I Don't Know, is a half sister to 5 winners.

Molly Morgan (Ghostzapper - Capitulation by Distorted Humor) has run four times, twice on the dirt and twice on the turf. Ghost of Sage Cat (Ghostzapper - Sage Cat by Tabasco Cat) has run twice, finishing 9th on February 5, and 5th on March 11. Both starts were at 1 1/16 miles on the dirt at Gulfstram Park. Ghost of Sage Cat is out of the winning mare Sage Cat, who has produced 4 winners from 5 to run, including stakes winner Elliecat, who was stakes-placed on the turf; and grade II winner Desert Party, who earned $928,467. All four of Sage Cat's winning offspring won on the turf. Sage Cat is a full sister to one winner and a half sister to one winner.
