Jillnextdoor (filly; Henrythenavigator - Royal Shyness (GB) by Royal Academy) finished 8th in the Queen Mary Stakes (Eng-II) at Royal Ascot run over good ground. She was in a good position throughout, chasing the leaders, and ran evenly late. Ceiling Kitty (Red Clubs (IRE) - Baldovina (GB) by Tale of the Cat) led virtually the whole race for the victory. Hoyam (Royal Applause (GB) - Christmas Tart (IRE) by Danetime (IRE) was second, and Hairy Rocket (Pivotal (GB) - Asaawir (GB) by Royal Applause (GB)) was third. Reina Reigns

Goochs Girl (Saint Stephen - Arawyn by Geiger Counter) was scratched, and the track was good. Holy Reina (Macho Uno - Sanibel Island by Capote) opened at 1-9. She drifted up a bit, but was still the heavy favorite at post time. Brenda's Bar (Midnight Lute - Les Cocos by Honour and Glory) was 11-1. I was liking Tangent (Captain Bodgit - Bullseye Bess by On Target) at first glance. Brenda's Bar looked ready for action, but Holy Reina really looked good. Saintly Aura (Saint Stephen - Speedy Gone Sally by Devonwood) got a strong warmup. Nats Golden Nugget (Desperately - Golden Remark by Regal Remark) acted up at the load, and went in the gate sans jockey. Saintly Aura outbroke the field, but he was soon caught, and passed by Holy Reina. Holy Reina cruised home, winning by an easy 5 3/4 lengths. Saintly Aura was a clear second over Nats Golden Nugget. Brenda's Bar trailed throughout, but did gain a bit on 5th-place finisher Tangent.
