Vitameta Vegiwinner

All nine ran on the fast track under cloudy skies, including the two entries: Diana's Catch (Hal's Image - Caught Speeding by Saint Ballado) and Joanie's Image (Hal's Image - First Ace by First Tour), and Royal Geisha (Indygo Shiner - Turn and Sparkle by Danzatore) and Its Looking (Eugene's Third Sun - Delirio by Jolie's Halo). Dreaming of Sophia (Lewis Michael - Liz On Polk Street by A.P. Indy) was favored. Also getting play was Vitameta (Street Sense - Emery Board by Grindstone). Truly Optimistic (Midnight Lute - Ever Optimistic by Elusive Quality) was 47-1. Diana's Catch (Hal's Image - Caught Speeding by Saint Ballado) broke awkwardly, and trailed the field, and Starship Playgirl (Successful Appeal - Circuit Breaker by Yes It's True) checked soon after the start. Vitameta went to the front, pursued by Be My Love (With Distinction - Arealhotlover by Untuttable). Favorite Dreaming of Sophia was next in line, and Starship Playgirl recovered to join the chase. Vitameta continued to lead. Be Me Love took a run at her, but Vitameta spurted away again. She went on to post a 7 length win. Running well late was Its looking, who grabbed second over Be My Love. Favorite Dreaming of Sophia could do no better than fourth. Truly Optimistic ran fairly evenly, but had no impact on the top runners, finishing 6th. Watch the Replay.

Double Win

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Double Ours (Half Ours - Double Bling by Double Honor) was the even money choice. Hoot'a Loot (Midnight Lute - It's True Romance by Yes It's True) was 18-1. He was reluctant to load, and then hopped at the start, spotting the field a couple of lengths. The rest broke in a bunch. Mandoob (Fusiaichi Pegasus - Wander Storm by Storm Bird) decided to head for the outside rail soon after the start, and was pulled up. Shirley Elizabeth (Ra Ra Superstar - Valid Kris by Valid Wager) came through to set the pace, pressed by Double Ours. Chris'expectations (Valid Expectations - Lady Wildcat by Forest Wildcat) tried to keep pace with the top pair, but he was soon outrun. Double Ours took over at the head of the stretch, as Shirley Elizabeth weakened. Rolling late was Nev's Cat (After Market - Emma Go Braugh by Wild Rush), but Double Ours held him off for a neck victory. It was a long way back (more than 11 lengths) to Lore's Dynameaux (Dynameaux - Amy's Believer by I Can't Believe) in third. Hoot'a Loot picked up a few spots late to finish 5th, not bad after his tardy start. This race was dominated by runners with previous experience, as they filled the first 4 spots, with Hoot'a Loot the top finisher among those debuting. Watch the Replay.

Thanks Chris, wow, no big surprise but nice win by "vitameta"...on another note just noticed that CQ just got 2nd winner in 6 starts, when "Pick it up Peg" won at PARX on Monday, didn't even know bout it,and Jewel didn't fire in Stakes race at Calder on Saturday. Don
