Almighty Brown

There were no scratches, and the turf was firm. Examen (Giant's Causeway - Surf N Sand by Boston Harbor) was favored by a couple of ticks over Telitlikitiscoach (Artie Schiller - Griselle by Flying Continental), and Brown Almighty (Big Brown - Gone Goodbye by Gone for Real) was respected at 9-2. Wild Slew (Doneraile Court - Sunnie Wild by Wild Zone) was a little wild. Favorite Examen looked nice, but Brown Almight also made a favorable impression. He certainly is one for chrome lovers. Telitlikitiscoach looked ready to go. Wild Slew got a saddle adjustment just before the load. The load was pretty smooth, Brown Almighty got a little nudge in the gate. Wild Slew and Ruler of Love (Peace Rules - Lovmeaton by Wheaton) went for the lead. Brown Almighty was up with these two at first, but then dropped back to third. Wild Slew continued to lead Ruler of Love and Brown Almighty, as Telitlikitiscoach began to get involved. Ruler of Love took a short lead, but Telitlikitiscoach and Brown Almighty were both coming. Telitlikitiscoach came on the outside, and seemed to have the advantage. But, Brown Almighty came through between horses and pulled away for a 1 3/4 length win. Telitlikitiscoach was clear in second, and Ruler of Love held third. Brown Almighty is the third winner for Big Brown. Watch the Replay.
