Curlamorous is Victorious
It was raining and the track was wet fast. There were no scratches. Curlamorous (Curlin - Glamorous Lady by Kingdom of Spain) opened at 4-5. She drifted up a bit from there, but was still the clear choice at post time. She looked good in the prelims. Loco Sweet (Double Honor - Calling Angels by Phone Trick) looked ready for action. The start was decent, but Out to Flank You (Outflanker - Pie I'd by You and I) was pinched back shortly after the break. Loco Sweet went to the front with Shy Diva (Great Notion - Corning by El Prado (IRE)). Curlamorous was up with this pair early, but backed off the speed a bit. Shy Diva led the way, chased by Loco Sweet, as A Case of Gold Luc (Morluc - Gold Case Motel by Gold Case) took third. Out to Flank You made a big move on the outside, and Curlamorous was making up ground as well. It was she that made the most sustained rally, going by Shy Diva for a 2 length victory. Out to Flank You took third over a tiring Loco Sweet, followed by Bayside Misskitty (Lion Hearted - Silver Sequins by Unaccounted For), A Case of Gold Luc, and Wind Powered (Mizzen Mast - Dezba by War Chant). Curlamorous is the 7th winner for Curlin. Watch the Replay.
