Sister Ginger Rolls Home

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Scissortail G (Value Plus - Gigi's Skyflyer by Skywalker) was favored, I Am Miss Brown (Big Brown - Formal Miss by Formal Dinner) was 4-1. Moonblood (Election Day (IRE) - Luna (MEX) by Mr. Greeley) was looking kind of good in the paddock. I Am Miss Brown made a favorable impression on the track. Bossy Babe (Street Boss - Little Buttercup by Labeeb (GB)) had some spring in her step. Moonblood broke on top, and Scissortail G set after her. I Am Miss Brown was in the mix as well, but she was bumped hard going into the first turn, and lost some momentum. Flerte (Safado - Arrepio by Subordination) was very wide. Moonblood continued on top, with Scissortail G close by. They were followed by I Am Miss Brown, Completely Wright (Flower Alley - Sea Puffin by Mt. Livermore), and Repentacious (Repent - The Classicshopper by Regal Classic). I Am Miss Brown moved up to second, and Repentacious and Sister Ginger (Student Council - Letters in Silver by Silver Hawk) were both gaining. It was Sister Ginger who was moving best, and she flew by on the outside for a 5 1/2 length win. Scissortail G came on again to claim second over Repentacious, with Moonblood back in fourth, and I Am Miss Brown in fifth. There was an inquiry into the action on the first turn, but no change was made. Sister Ginger is the 5th winner for Student Council. Watch the Replay.
